[attr="class","hopelovetop"]
Sarcastic and blunt in his honesty, but also strangely idealistic and even innocent, taking extreme distaste in cynical viewpoints.
Has a strangely powerful faith in fortune telling, treating it like a religious man would treat miracles. Despite these very un-apath-like qualities, his base nature still leaks out in the form of being very manipulative, he believes it to be very human from his observations, from the news to advertisements to little white lies, and he sees nothing wrong with manipulating even his closest friends if it were to help him. He's also very impulsive and despite being good at manipulating people in the long term, in the short term he's not a very forward thinker, and tends to make things up on the fly, often switching a plan when he realizes it'd be easier to do something else, even if he's a hair's breath away from finishing his previous idea.

[attr="class","hopelovetitle"]BIOGRAPHY
[attr="class","hopelovetop"]
Czyk's tale is one of curiousity and discovery. He began as any other Apath, a child manifested unnaturally in the sewers of the city, fuelled by pure instinct without a desire beyond survival, small bits and pieces of knowledge forming with him, a purpose, to survive, and a name, Hyacinth. However, the being quickly learned how to act human from its more intelligent kin, not really being told why it had to beyond a vague "Have to grow up sometime", and as it learnt desire, he became curious of the world he lived in, the subterranean city that acted as his habitat and what was left behind, asking who left it behind and why.[break][break]
That was when it got a few sights of the surface, watching the normal people above and wondering why they seemed so much more... Interesting than other Apaths, when they looked exactly the same.[break][break]
He slowly learnt how humans who looked about his age acted and talked and was able to pass off as a street urchin, wanting to learn more about the surface world from a closer view. The other Apaths looked at him like he was mad, which he might as well have been.[break][break]
Upon his first visit to the surface, he found himself wandering into a city park, a foreign place filled with life he was unfamiliar with, and he was enthralled, from the singing birds to the people peacefully living their lives. He soon found himself enthralled with an older man claiming to tell fortunes using a simple deck of cards.
"What's your name, little man." the older man, who went by the name 'Mr. Czyk' asked the lone child. "U-Uh... Hyacinth." he answered back. "Well, Hyacinth, how'd you like your fortune told?" "F-Fortune? What's a fortune?" "Hah! 'What's a fortune'? A fortune is a kind of magic, little man, it tells you your future, and a little man like you has a lot of future ahead of him. Wouldn't you like a heads up on what's coming?" "A... Heads up?... On my future?... S-Sure!" "That's what I thought, kid. This one's on the house, a simple three card spread is what this one's called. Past, Present and Future. Let's hope it's a good one."[break][break]
The cards were[break][break]
the Reverse Fool, a rough beginning, his reckless actions and naive faith in his people's natural foe could have been the death of him.[break][break]
Upright Death, the middle of the journey, the end of the old and the beginning of the new.[break][break]
And the Upright World, a satisfying conclusion, completion, and a rebirth.[break][break]
"Well, boy, looks like your future is looking bright, that's all I can say with what I got is that you have to be the best you that you can be. Get it, little man?" "...Yeah... I got it... Thank you..."
and Hyacinth took that advice to heart and left.[break][break]
In the days to come, he would continue to move between the two warring worlds, and always come back to the fortune teller, wanting to know more about this supposed fortune telling, learning how to read the cards himself, and in turn learning how to do the simple entertainment of street magic, and how to be an upright human being, instead of just a facade of one, eventually starting to see the old man as a father figure that he wouldn't normally have had he not strayed, taking the old man's surname as a symbolic adoption of the new apprentice, he was now Hyacinth Kowalczyk.[break][break]
Soon after he was considered a teenager in human society, he got his first real sense of loss. Sure, he had lost things, but they were just objects, easily replaced, but the old man, dear Mr. Czyk, a beloved member of the community, died, and the friendly old man who gave free fortunes got quite a funeral for his position. On his gravestone was engraved[break][break]
Albert Kowalczyk[break][break]
All things must come to an end[break][break]
and I now go to see[break][break]
The End of the Beginning[break][break]
His last words in the mortal coil were in a letter given to his apprentice by a friend of the dearly departed Mr. Czyk.[break][break]
If you're reading this, little man, I'm probably dead.[break][break]
But the show must go on, and every actor gets replaced.[break][break]
I leave you nothing but a home, a deck of cards, and my name.[break][break]
I promise that you'll have a fine future. Just ask the cards.[break][break]
Hyacinth took a card from the deck, it was Judgement in the upright position. Rebirth, and Absolution.[break][break]
