Everything in this world had an order to it. The sun rose. Clocks ticked. Time moved forward. ESPers attended Anaheim Junior Academy. These orders were absolute. As such, when this order was disrupted by the occasional fool, Sony found herself somewhat upset. Orders were there for a reason. They were meant to keep chaos from spreading- to protect those who followed the order of the world.
That is why, today, as she stood in front of the school's main building, Sony was angry. Students were coming into class late. She was to stand here and issue tickets to those who did so. The brown haired girl stood defiantly in front of the front door with her arms crossed. Any other entrance to the school was locked up tightly.
There was no escaping the Student Council President's stern gaze.

A simple opening post for a simple and fun thread.
[attr="class","nabody"] Work was never easy for Kite, but he never complained. The boy's rather optimistic mindset kept his sanity afloat even with his situation. The young man was caked in dirt and ash, hinting towards the fact that he had just came back from his duty. Kite is an agent of Scepter. In his eyes, he is a protector of the city. It is his responsibility to keep those unlike him safe; those who do not possess the power that of which he possesses. Kite's hands could be seen jammed into his jean pockets, a slight frown upon his face. He had just returned from a mission, and had presumably landed himself in an encounter with an Apath. Judging by the fact that he's still walking, you could probably say he had won. Faint traces of blood stained his face, primarily around his lips and nose. The green military jacket that hung on his shoulders was slightly tattered and even charred in some areas. A burnt stench wafted around him due to the soot that had seeped within his clothing.
You could say he looked like a total disaster, but even that would be an understatement.
Nonetheless, the boy held his head high. Kite walked straight in a coordinated and confident manner despite the fact that his hands were quite callously dug into his pockets. If someone had not known any better, they could easily mistake Kite for a delinquent. The boy slowly made his way from the campus gates towards the school building's main entrance. To his surprise—a girl was there. She was quite petite, and if it were not for the look on her face, Kite may have found her cute. However—even with her small stature—she held quite the imposing figure. The girl stood in front of the door as if she had intended to block Kite's path. Kite was not privy to the details of which why the girl was standing there. Though, rather than inquiring as to what her prerogative was, he simply began to walk up towards her before stopping about a meter away. The boy met her piercing gaze with the greatest apathy the world could find. His lips began to move.

Sony's gaze drifted up towards a student who seemed to be approaching the school. Her eyes narrowed as she took note of his appearance. How could someone come to the school so ragged looking? He looked as if he had just been crawling through chimneys. Furthermore, there was blood on his face. Was he an agent of Scepter? It wasn't that unusual for their agents to come to school after missions, but even then... They usually took the time to clean up.
As his gaze met her own, Sony didn't seem to change her stance at all. The girl still stood, blatantly staring him down. She hadn't seem him around much before. Was he the new transfer student that had been mentioned? The girl clicked her tongue softly before canting her head to the side. All the Scepter students thought they were exempt from the rules. Even though Sony assisted with Scepter missions at times, she always followed the school's rules. There would be no mercy if this boy couldn't do something so simply.
So, Sony spoke bluntly.
”Do you have a written excuse for your tardiness?”
[attr="class","nalyrics"]fresh out of luck aw shit.
[attr="class","nabody"] "I get it now.."
Kite soon realized the girl's intentions. She must have been some sort of monitor, perhaps even appointed by the administration to keep the order. Obviously unaware of the details, Kite really had no choice but to comply and respect her apparent authority if he wanted to re-enter the building. The girl had a certain air around her that of which exemplified a high sense of dignity, pride, and above all else: order. Kite looked down at himself, realizing that his current appearance was more than likely in deep contrast to those characteristics. Nonetheless, the boy reached into his coat pocket. Earlier that week, he had received a pass from his counselor that of which allowed him to travel in and out of the school. Of course, the pass was only valid if he was on or returning from his duty.
"Just a moment-" Kite said politely as he rummaged through his pockets. First his coat pockets, then his jeans, then his back pockets.
The pass was no where to be seen. Where was it? The boy padded himself down desperately as he attempted to look for his pass. Finally, he felt something in his right coat pocket even though he had initially checked it before. Reaching into his green jacket's now black and ashy compartment, Kite pulled out what used to be a pass. It was now a tattered, burnt, and overall messy excuse of an administrative pardon.
"Shit.. it must've gotten ruined during the fight. How do I explain this?"
The boy scratched the back of his head, taking a deep breath as he looked down at the scraps that piled on top of the palm of his hand. Kite looked back at the girl standing before him, a cold sweat drop forming at his temple. The shrill feeling of the perspiration sliding down his visage was almost as chilling as the feeling of embarrassment that ran within him as he failed to show a proper excuse. Shaking himself out of that negative state, Kite began to regain his composure. The boy would then explain himself and his situation in the most eloquent way possible.
Takeshi hated being late, but he couldn't help but be late since Sachi said she was planning to be gone for the week. He totally forgot to prepare lunch so he had to prepare it beforehand so he wouldn't end up embarrassing himself with a loud-ass growling stomach. He ran for his life so he wouldn't feel too bad about being late.
"What's your excuse..."
"Had personal work to do early in the morning..."
It wasn't a lie, his personal work was trying to live so he wouldn't be such an attention-grabber in school. He had such bad luck today. Even the lady looked like she would bite his head off. Takeshi knew that his luck is only going to get worse, and fate confirmed his prediction. There were two people in the way of the door. One looked pissed, and another looked like he just beat up a few kids and burned a tree. Takeshi never heard of any gangsters or delinquents in the school. Then again, he did meet that one girl earlier in the school year... After eavesdropping a few moments, he's concluded that the guy is in the same situation he's in, but judging from the fuckery this guy has been, he probably didn't even bother to get a pass, or got a pass but lost it. Takeshi took out his pass and erased his name from the section where the lady puts his first and last name on and put down 'SPECIALLY EXCUSED' on top of it so the erased pencil markings wont be so obvious. He walked over to the two and handed this to the short girl holding a huge flaming anger inside.
"I saw him rush here and drop this on the way."
Takeshi thought that maybe if he saved this gangster/yakuza/delinquent/bully-looking guy right now, he'd be saved from whatever this guy plans to do in the future. Hopefully this works...

Sony watched as the blue haired newbie reached to look for his pass. Either he was really good at acting or he had lost his pass during whatever fight caused him to look how he currently did. Well, Sony didnt have a class first period, so she was content waiting for him to find the pass. She nodded firmly. ”Alright. Take your time to find it.”
As the boy continued to look for the pass, Sony's head tilted to the side. Her brow arched upwards. When he pulled out a burnt piece of paper that could barely be seen as a pass, Sony let out a deep sigh. From what she could make out, it looked like a pass- but it was so burnt and tattered that it was impossible to make out who it was for.
”If you can't keep a simple piece of paper safe during a fight, what makes you think you can properly protect civilians in the future?” she asked coldly, glaring at him. Before she could go further into detail, her eyes shifted to another student in the distance. Was he... He was editing his own pass in front of her. Sony stared at him quietly, eyeing him as he approached her.
When he held the pass to her, Sony tilted her head to the side, staring at him. ”I'm sorry but... are you a fucking idiot? One, I saw you messing with this. There's this thing where if you can see me, I can usually see you. Two, do you really think I'm stupid enough to accept a pass written in pencil?”
Her eyes narrowed dangerously as she glared at the two in front of her.

“Now that’s pretty rude, isn’t it?”
A light impact bounced off Sony’s head, a karate chop reprimanding her for words that were a little too cruel. It was a beautiful morning, after all, birds flying above a bright blue sky, one that would make anyone wish they weren’t at school really. To say such words merely for being tardy was simply ruining the mood, after all, and Haruka, the glamorous redhead, didn’t like that at all.
Waving at the bespectacled girl with a cheeky grin, she continued, “Really though, Sony, isn’t that example a little unfair? Surely someone like you can see the difference between a piece of paper and the life of a civilian! My buddy here most definitely understands such priorities, right?” She winked at the blue-haired youth that she had never met before, hoping that he wasn’t just one of those Espers drafted by Scepter because they were Apath-murdering psychopaths.
“I do agree on your judgment of the other boy’s actions though,” Haruka nodded sagely, “But please, give him the benefit of the doubt. No doubt he just wants to get to class before he becomes even more late, and you certainly aren’t helping with that.”
Her arms crossed underneath her chest, accentuating them, as the red-haired Esper went for the killing blow.
“Honestly, Sony, I admire your zeal, but it’s the duty of the teachers to mark down those who are late and absent. Aren’t you just making them even more late, further cutting down on the educational opportunities they missed out on?”
Haruka smiled. The daughter of the Vanderbilt family was rational, but at the same time, she was surprisingly petty, huh?
Kite's gaze shot up towards Sony as she spoke of protecting civilians. How did she know Kite was an Esper? The boy's eyes narrowed at the girl in both anger and confusion as he glared down at her. Kite was simply vexed. He puts his own life on the line everyday in order to protect people like herself, yet she had the nerve to talk down to him just because he couldn't keep a single piece of paper from burning up. Kite was ready to give her a piece of his mind.
"You don't even have a clu-" He started, just as another new face had appeared. A boy with white hair that of which was a good bit taller than Kite himself. This guy really towered over the monitor, making her look more like a child rather than an authority. Kite's exasperation towards the brown haired girl had left him as the white haired boy began to speak...on Kite's behalf?
"Who even is this guy..?" Kite thought to himself, looking to the boy in awe as he attempted to cover up for him. Kite watched in sheer gratitude as the boy was then promptly verbally abused by Sony. Kite simply did not care just how idiotic or futile the other boy's attempt in helping him was—he simply appreciated it regardless.
It had been the first time anyone had ever stuck up for him.
Just as Kite had prepared himself for punishment, a new face had appeared. She winked at Kite, who then returned the gesture with a bit of a lost expression. The girl dismantled Sony's argument against the two of them just before telling Kite and the boy who had helped him to proceed into the school. Kite looked at the other boy, unsure of what he should actually do at this point.
Takeshi smiled a little. He's been caught. Oh well... Takeshi would shrug his shoulders and confess to the smol girl.
"You're right. I was just trying to save a classmate from trouble since I thought 'he had something legit to do'."
He pointed to his own late pass.
"This is something I got from the lady who couldn't find a pen. I was late because of something personal."
Again, he wasn't lying. And who would actually believe him if he said that he was late while making his lunch. Right then, some lady appeared out of nowhere. Saying stuff like 'let them go and stop being mean'. Takeshi just stood there with a face clearing stating that she has no idea who the hell she was. But is best to keep his mouth shut during a time like this. He faced the smol girl again.
"Do what you want since I lied. I apologize for my actions."
