Potential (PTN) - Potential is the representation of an individual’s enhanced physical prowess and the potency of their Vibration. A numerical value that depicts the power of one’s Vibration and their intensified might.
Vibration (VIB) - Vibration is a sort of “mana-pool” of sorts, and is a unique stat. Vibration is found by multiplying your PTN by 10, or by placing a 0 at the end of your PTN. When an Arte is used; it subtracts from your VIB. Remember to always record how much VIB you have left after using an ability at the end of your posts! Due to the nature of VIB, it cannot be buffed.
Dexterity (DEX) - Dexterity is your character’s speed and agility. This stat represents the rate at which your character moves—physically. Their swiftness and acrobatic skill is measured solely by this value.
Vitality (VIT) - Vitality is your character’s physical defenses and how your Vibration affects it. Vibration can reinforce one’s flesh, heightening their protection and survivability. Vitality is simply a representation of this quality.
Wisdom (WIS) - Your character’s ability to perceive the world. The more WIS your character has, the more discerning and perceptive they are.
Every character gets 45 stats to start with. Remember to keep your stats in your signature so that everyone can see them!
Combat on the site works in a way where we let the players, or rather the two characters fighting, decide how they'll determine when one has won or one has lost. Though, we do have some general rules regarding fighting. Of course no god-modding, powerplaying, meta-gaming, etc, but also remember the following:
PTN VS VIT
DEX VS WIS
If you have a higher PTN than someone's VIT (which will generally be the case), you will do damage to them. The general idea is that even with 10 VIT—the average amount of VIT a new player would have—your character can withstand a good amount of damage. Of course there are several factors that play into this such as where they got hit or the velocity of the thing that had hit them. It is also obvious that the bolded statement above does not count for all situations. If someone with 30 PTN is beating your character up and your character only has 10 VIT, then he can probably survive long enough to try and turn the fight around. However if someone with 50 or 60 PTN attacks your character, that is when your character would really start taking some massive injuries.
As for DEX vs WIS; it is simply just a battle of wits. DEX is your speed while WIS is your power to perceive. Obviously, if your DEX is higher than your opponents WIS and vice versa you can counter them.
Minor differences between stats (such as PTN/VIT or DEX/WIS) that can generally be ignored are 1-4.
Noticeable differences are 5-12.
Major differences are 13-20, character can be subject to minor injuries.
Dangerous differences in which your character is likely to be majorly injured are 22 to 35.
Catastrophic differences in which your character is likely to be one-shotted is from 35 to 50.
What this means is that if you have 10 VIT and you fight someone with 14 PTN. You're going to be okay. If you fight someone with 22 PTN, you should start being careful. If you're fighting someone with 30 PTN, you really want to fight smart. If you're fighting someone with 45 PTN, you probably want to run. And if you're fighting someone with 60 PTN, you're probably going to get KO'd right off the bat.
Hope this makes sense.
