Ashton's personality is a rather stoic teen who carries herself in a composed manner, being generally more mature as she measures the possible outcomes of doing something or not doing it. Socially speaking, she usually keeps quiet, and speaks when someone asks her a question or wants her opinion. Her gaze is constantly shifting between analytical, slightly bored and seemingly upset. Sometimes, though, she can't avoid smiling when something makes her happy, and has a habit of covering her face with one hand and chuckling, to supress her laughter.

She knows it's not easy to get close to a person like her, as it's like she emmits an aura of seriousness; which means that, despite being a girl, she is more similar to a man when treating with her the friends she may have. Ashton tends to get the "handsome battle butler" syndrome and take good care of her friends; she protects them fiercely and makes sure they have everything they need, constantly offering a hand.

Romantically speaking, she is not even sure about her sexuality. Flirty situations make her nervous; that doesn't mean she shows it. And kinky situations do give her a huge brain lag; expect her to respond ten seconds after saying something to her.
Regardless, Ashton is a person you can rely on once you manage to gain her trust. Otherwise, expect her to just look at you with her cold gaze, telling you to not be an idiot without saying a word. Because she doesn't like dealing with other people's mess, either.

Aditionally, what made Ashton shine since she was a young girl were her musical skills. She tried going to guitar classes once, and throughout the six months course, she only got better and better. Ashton set her mind on becoming a better musician, and started learning how to play bass a good while ago. Give her any of those string instruments and she can really brighten up everyone's mood. This has been her way of bringing people to socialize with her. She inspires respect and friendliness, and people seem to have a high amount of trust on her, also considering she can take a good decision with a cool judgement.

It's hard to balance what you want to do and what you have to do. Ashton's always been struggling with that since birth. Her parents were young at the time she was born, but were economically stable. They pretty much bribed her into happiness for a good part of her life, but were always happy to lend a hand. Surprisingly, Ashton grew up to be serious and not-bitchy; all this because of her school experiences. It was always her job to be the voice of reason and maturity amongst them, even if her grades weren't excellent.

Her musical affinity, and easiness for sports have been in conflict with her slightly lower than average intelligence for as long as she has memory. Ashton herself sometimes wonders how has she come to be in high school. The conflict of what she wanted to do vs what she had to learn had been continuous, until she was caught in a bank robbery. She was paying off some things in behalf of her parents, and a group of three robbers entered the scene. She obeyed their orders of staying down, as well as other people did.

Ashton would've stayed there and waited for them to leave, but she saw how one of them, as he was guarding the entrance, started kicking the innocent people. Her cold judgement vanished as she got up and rushed to him. Before she got close, her power showed itself. Two gunblades formed in her hands and, without wasting time pondering how, she sliced him three times. Then she turned to the other two robbers, who were deeper inside the bank, and showed up to take a look at their wounded colleague lying on the floor, as Ashton was hidden behind the bank tellers.

She managed to find the alarm button and pressed it. The criminals yelled at each other before the two who were still standing rushed to where Ashton was. As soon as one of them showed up, she sliced him twice, and then shot the other one who was readying his gun with her two new weapons. They were all wounded, and Ashton yelled at all the people to get up as the first responders were arriving.

After that, her parents were in a mix of surprise, pride, and worry. They were pride their daughter had the potential to be a hero, but did she really want to be one? For what seemed like the first time, what she wanted to do triumphed over all else. She wanted to train and be able to fight for what she thought was fair. And so she was taken to Anaheim, and now she is as devoted to her gunblade arts training as she was to her music lessons back in the day.
