Dismissal. It is one of Denziel's favorite time of the day where everyone can go home and relax. But unlike the rest, Denziel tends to stay at school for a few hours before hitting the road and going home. As soon as the who class left the class room, he stretched his arms in the air and let out a sigh of relief. "Ah, that's better." he told himself when he heard a few bones cracking lightly on his back. He folded his hands on top of his desk and sighed quietly. Peace and quiet, just like he always wanted. It was tranquil, having the classroom all by himself was one of the best things in life, well for a student.
However, he heard a few taps inside of the classroom. Was it even a tap or a noise that he couldn't distinguish? Either way, it was bothering him a little bit. Just as he thought that he was alone, there were few students who stayed behind. Although Denziel considered this as a perfect opportunity to make friends in the school. Nobody wants to get left behind right? Might as well create some friends and probably enemies in the near future.
He was a little bit nervous when he slowly turn his head around and saw two students on there seats. One boy, and one girl. He smiled at them and said "Hey there, what are you guys still doing here?" he purposely made his voice a little bit louder so that they can hear him.

[attr="class","writing"] There was absolutely nothing that could possibly disrupt such a peaceful atmosphere. A school was a place of learning, after all. It was meant for the scholarly, the high achieving, the ones who truly cared about their future. Or at least that was the idea....In practice, all of these values fail spectacularly, as a whole at least. On top of that, there were always oddballs transferring in at sporadic intervals, assuring that true tranquility couldn't possibly be achieved for more than a blissful moment.
Suddenly the door was kicked in and an unfamiliar face frantically entered, a mess of pink and brown hair tangled into messy braids. "TROLL IN THE DUNGEON," the voice bellowed. "I REPEAT, TROLL. IN. THE. GOD. DAMN. DUNGEON." While yelling the girl had made her way closer and closer to Denziel, gave a very theatric spin, and collapsed onto his desk. With her face still buried in the synthetic wood she murmured, "I'm bored. Entertain me. Er, that offer is extended to all of you by the way. Whaddya say?" She picked her face up just enough to grin at the girl who was already in the room, but the stranger opted to see herself out instead. The mismatched girl feigned a pout, then looked at the other guy seated not so far away. "What about you? You've got to know where all the cool places are, right?"

"Well, apparently two certain someones had the same idea, rendering it all kinda pointless." The boy, Peter Mallory, said just as he was taking a mobile game console out of his bag to pass the time he had no other way to kill. He could've used the time to walk home, but he always preferred the air of an empty school over an orphanage and sometimes just sort of chilled out after final bell until night staff realized he was there and told him to leave. The girl was about to open her mouth to speak, but suddenly...
"TROLL IN THE DUNGEON! I REPEAT, TROLL. IN. THE. GOD. DAMN. DUNGEON."
Which surprised Peter into stunned silence, the strange (well.. less strange) girl made a hasty retreat, while the stranger girl made direct eye contact with him. Seeing the look in her eyes, one particular song suddenly started playing in his head.
"...I have no social life." he stated bluntly with a relaxed smile "If you're lookin' for all the swanky, hip-happenin' club joints in the city, then I know a hole-in-the-wall arcade where one of the regulars is an old man who treats DDR like a goddamn ancient martial art. If that sounds like a good time to you... Then you have good taste and I would not mind showing you, though you could probably find the former yourself."

[attr="class","nabody"]Idly sitting by and spending time doing absolutely nothing was quite unbecoming of Kite's personality. The boy was always up to something whether it was work or mastering his abilities; Kite was just always busy. However, today just was not one of those days. In fact, today was a day in which Kite had received no orders. Facilities such as the training gym and the library that Kite would normally take advantage of during this time of day were shut down. There was no trouble within the city, no job to do. No opportunities to work. It was peaceful. Yet...
Kite was seething.
"How the hell am I supposed to be content with just sitting around and doing nothing? There's so much to do...I HAVE so much to do...but.."
The boy's attention was diverted as another young man inside of his classroom inquired as to why Kite was still in the classroom. Initially, the boy was waiting to hold a conference with one of his counselors about the current courses he was selecting and how his school hour will coincide with his work hours. That conference was to take place in this very classroom. Judging by the fact that his counselor was no where to be seen, Kite had come to the conclusion that they had bailed on him. Kite let out a quiet, yet exasperated sigh. Answering the young man who had attempted to speak to him was out of his best interests. Kite distanced himself from people. To Kite, this boy had looked incredibly kind—someone he could see as a friend. This struck a bad chord within him.
Kite had believed that he was not allowed to love. To have friends. To keep people close to his heart. It was not just because of his line of work, but also because of the way he was. Kite simply believed that he was not meant for such. He considered them trivialities. Even so, a fateful meeting with that restaurant owner began to sway his thoughts on the matter.
"I-" he started speaking just as quickly as he stopped. A bombastic young woman with a strange hair-do had burst through the doors of the classroom. The girl promptly began to shout a load of nonsense as she fell down against the surface of the other boy's desk. Kite was incredibly irritated by this girl. To him, it had just gone to show that getting close to others could not have been worth it if there were people like that around. Thus, Kite slung his backpack over his shoulder before making his way out the door. Just as he stepped into the door frame's passage, Kite heard another voice. A boy with a gaming console quite familiar to one that Kite held back home. In fact..
It was the same model.
Without a hint of hesitation or control, Kite uttered one thing at the boy.
"I have that at home."
Regret instantly nailed him in the gut, making him want to keel over. "Why did I just do that?" he asked himself. Kite now had a feeling that he would not be able to return home anytime soon.

[attr="class","writing"] The girl perked up a bit and turned her attention to the kid speaking like some kind of failure of a seventies 'cool cat' before picking herself up off the desk and heading over to him. "There's a place like that around here?? That sounds awesome! You'll have to show me later. It's a promise, okay?" Now Lani was getting genuinely excited. She was only just starting to figure this town out, and an arcade was exactly the sort of place she'd be looking for. [break][break] Next Leilani's mismatched eyes fell on the grump who was apparently trying to run away from her and smiled just as brightly as a girl could. "Hey, what're you running off for? Not to go and be alone I hope. I'd really like it if you'd stay and chat for a little while! Er, unless you have something important to do. Then I guess you can't really help it." The girl sat herself down in one of the empty desks and made herself comfortable. After all, going home just meant she'd have to finish unpacking all those boxes cluttering her new apartment, and Leilani was definitely not in any rush to deal with all that. [break][break] "You know," she said after looking from Kite to Peter, then back to the device Peter held. "I should have one of those game consoles stashed in a box somewhere. Maybe if I dig it out, we can all play something together. Not today, what with school being over, but maybe some other time!"

Peter was extremely caught off guard by Leilani actually seeming excited for what he meant as a joke (granted, the place was real), cutting his previous cool, calm, some might say mysterious if they were easily impressed air, causing him to break down in surprised stuttering with a barely visible blush slowly growing more prominent, as many socially awkward dweebs would when a cute girl seemed so excited to hang out with them "Pft-sch-duh-buh-uh-o-okay I-I-ti-dai-I-I gues-okay"
His quiet stuttering was interrupted by one of the other two guys in the room trying to cut the tension in his own way. "Pft-d-gi-well y-y'know dai-it's-it's only the most popular one in the-uh, the market, so y'know, s-so yeah, I guess statistically speaking it'd, y'know, m-make sense for us to... All... Have... One..." he mumbled, gradually lowering in volume until he was just barely audible enough for all else in the room to hear by the end of his sentence.
The bubblegum haired girl dropped her face on top of his desk as soon as she got in to the classroom, sadly for Denziel he barely knows her but kept a cool face and smiled at her. "I'm sure you can look for something entertaining." he told her with a smile on her face. He averted his attention back to the boy with blue hair that didn't really appreciate the girl's behavior. A quiet sigh escaped his lips, thinking that he already lost one person to talk with. However, another boy spoke up, answering the girl, whom called Lielani by the way. His green eyes looked at peter, whom his classmate.
He didn't even notice he was there, well, he was playing one of his game consoles so that might be it. Kite stopped mid-way and looked at peter, saying that he also have that one at home, then Lielani following that she might have it somewhere as she sat down to one of the empty chairs. Hmm, it is amazing how one object can bring a lot of people. Sadly for Denziel he isn't into light-weight gadgets but more into PC gaming. Yes, he prefer online gaming rather than small gaming gadgets such as what peter have in his hands.
Although, if he remembers it correctly he has one of those too, he just doesn't use it nor bother playing it. Denziel looked back at Peter who's cheeks were getting a tinted pink on them. He slightly raise his one eyebrow but his smile was still there. Uh-huh, this is your chance to get a girlfriend Peter Mallory, he said to his head. "Sounds great, uhh, I forgot your name. Sorry." he said to Lielani with a chuckle of embarrassment.
"Kite, right?" he then asked the boy who was mid-way to the door, offering a kind smile on his face.
