[attr="class","writing"] The city was overflowing with people and noise going every which way, painting a very dizzying picture for anyone who didn't know the layout of this town. Leilani had been out in the streets for almost two hours now, initially for the sake of exploring, but now she was just trying to find her way back to the parts she knew. Getting lost may as well be a hobby for the girl, what with how often she did it. Still, even in the fray of strangers, she was having a pretty good time taking everything in. [break][break] After wandering aimlessly for a while longer, Lani found herself standing in front of the school. She peered up at the building, taking everything in as if intending to memorize all the fine details that set this particular school apart from any other. While staring at the school gates, a thought struck her: that one kid was probably still hanging around inside. Pete? Petey? Peter? Yeah, Peter! Petey was a cuter name though. She'd definitely have to start calling him that instead. Anyway, Leilani quickly decided to storm the gates and search for the boy. No room was safe from her prying eyes. [break][break] After searching high and low, Lani at last found the one she was looking for. A big grin took over her face as she rushed over to him. "Hey," the girl called out. "What're you still doing at school? I've decided to take you to the arcade today!"

Peter, just chilling in an empty classroom, playing on his portable as he often did, his head turning to look at the girl as he heard the door open, he was surprised by the sudden intrusion. As the girl quickly approached him he tried to process what she just said. He did say yesterday to the mismatched girl that he might take her to an arcade he knew, but he was mostly joking, not expecting her to take him up on the offer... The song that played when they first made eye contact once again played in his head. He was probably overreacting to her energy with that reaction but when a song gets stuck in your head you can't really control it.
"Uh... I... Didn't expect you were seriously gonna take me up on that, but... Pft, okay." he said, caught off guard by this whole thing as he packed his portable into his bag and stood up. "Follow, please." he said as he walked past the girl and walked out of the room, knowing that when an asocial nerd gets asked out by a cute and possibly insane girl, only good things can happen, like a magical adventure, or an exciting car chase, or defending her against a gang of creeps, or getting defended by her from a gang of creeps, or something along those lines...

[attr="class","writing"] Leilani's eyes lit up when he actually agreed to go with her. Not that she was expecting to get turned down, but she didn't think he'd be ready to leave immediately. The girl happily started skipping after him while saying, "Of course I'd take you up on it! You offered after all, so I'm not gonna keep you waiting forever!" She laughs wholeheartedly before leaning in just a bit closer. "What were you playing just now, anyway? I think I have that same model in a box somewhere back home, so maybe we can play some other time. Like, in class or something." [break][break] "So which way is this arcade, anyway? I don't think I saw a place like that when I was los-er, exploring the city earlier." Again Leilani laughed, still marching alongside Peter. Even within the school she was turning her head every which way, making little mental notes of the school's layout. Not that she'd actually remember any of them....Still, Lani liked to think they would actually come in handy later.

"Oh, pft, well, y'know, j-ju-ju-j-just a-uh-a pft-ti-pft-uh Po-deh-po-ti-po-pokemon." he said, his usual "talk less, smile more" attitude quickly disintegrating in the face of the hyped-up girl. He generally didn't talk to many people this long "And-d-d i's just y'know in a random-ass part of town, we take a left from the school and a left again and a right and a left and a right and go on forward then another left and right and right and left and left then immediately right and right again and then left again and down an alleyway with a sign that says 'Mr. Charleston's Arcade and Diner' and that's that there it is we're on our way yippee." he explained awkwardly, switching from stuttering to just one fast run-on sentence of vague directions. "A-and if I start to bore ya or make ya mad or for whatever reason creep ya out, no shame in walking away, okay? I-tai-dai-I would do the same thing, really, ahaha... heh..." he added with the most forced laughter someone could make.

[attr="class","writing"] Leilani stared at Peter for what must have been at least a whole minute, slowly blinking while he gurgled out words so fast not even she could catch all of them. Once he had finished talking the girl said, "Uh....if I tried to follow those directions I think I'd get lost. Like, permanently. Which meeeeans, I better just stick with you since you know the way. I hope." She smiled brightly and patted Peter on the back, none too gently I might add. "Anyway, at this rate I seriously think you're gonna get a migraine or something! Just relax! This is supposed to be fun, you know. I promise I won't beat you up or anything." [break][break] "Anyway, I love Pokemon! Haunter is definitely the greatest thing pretty much ever. Sure Gengar is stronger, but Haunter looks way cooler. Which is why he's pretty much the king of ghost types in my book. What's your party like right now? How far are you? Do you have an Aggron? Aggron is pretty great too. Maybe we can battle once I dig my game out!"

"O-o-doh yeah I-I love steel-types, I m-mean I-I-my favourite is Aegislash, but Aggron is pretty damn cool too, Aheh, I just like ghosts possessing swords over big ol' rhino lizard knight things, which are still really badass, which might say something about me, but what that could be I have no idea.... Maybe that I like swords..." he rambled, trying to be talkative.
"Uh, so-so-so-s-so-buh-duh-I... Why exactly did you take me up on this offer? I-I-I mean I don't mean it's like I don't like that fact it's just that why me and now y'know? It's like I'm just a quiet little corner-lurker who hangs out in empty schools and stuff and why exactly me y'know?" he asked, making it clear he was very much not used to this type of attention... Any at all...

[attr="class","writing"] "Whaaat??? No way! Aegislash has such a lame design! It's like somebody slapped an eye on some dinky sword and called it good!" Leilani laughed wholeheartedly, but soon after that smile of hers took on a more mischievous tone. "A-b-wah-b-b-because you're the one who invited me, silly! Besides, you seem like a nice enough kid, even if you are horrible at talking to girls~" Just then a light went off in Lani's eyes and her smile grew even bigger. "I have an idea. I've gotta get you a girlfriend!! You've never dated before, have you? I'm definitely getting that vibe. But worry not! Match maker Leilani is on the case!"[break][break] Again the girl broke out into laughter with her hands on her hips and her head held high. "The only question is who do I set you up with! Let's see, what about.....uh.....hrm....." Come to think of it, Lani didn't really know any of the other girls at school yet. Oh, but there were two who she knew of at least! Yes, this was perfect! Lani chuckled again before saying, "Alright! I've decided that the class president is just your type! You must go for her, Petey! But not until after you learn how to talk to girls better. Don't worry, don't worry! We can put in some training while we're at the arcade! I bet lots of girls will be hanging around in there!"
