Yvette sat on the fountain's edge idly playing with her skirt. She didn't know why she'd tried so hard on her outfit. Maybe because it was her first time going out causally... in probably more than just months. Maybe because in the back of her mind she thought this resembled what was suppose to be a, date. However she'd never say it out loud. It was just two old friends catching up. At the mall. Meeting at the fountain. After an extremely close and flustering encounter. Quickly rerouting her thinking, she had decided that'd she give him a full half an hour before going off by herself. She wouldn't be surprised if he had decided to not come because of her act the other day. So she was fully prepared to go find shops she'd like. So until then she pulled a book out of her bag and placed her glasses neatly on her nose, the n set a timer. All before beginning to read.
Shugo groaned as he woke up. It was far too early in the morning. Looking over at the clock he realized if he didn't get up now, he was going to be late for hanging out with Yvette. The boy groaned once again, putting his arm over his face.
"She tried to get me in trouble. I should just not show up. She didn't even wanna hang out in the first place. She was only doing it out of pity."
Shugo closed his eyes once more as he came to his decision. The boy groaned once more a few seconds later as he pulled the covers off of himself. He dragged his body into the shower before shaving and getting dressed. The boy pulled on blue jeans with a black long sleeved henley, rolling up the sleeves. With that he set out to the mall, only arriving ten minutes late to the water fountain. He spotted Yvette reading a book. He smiled down at the girl as he spoke.
"If you wanna reschedule so you can finish your book, that's alright with me."
Yvette had heard her timer go off, she had quickly silenced it since she was coming to the end of her book. Turning the second to last page she smiled. The happy part was coming. As she was in the middle of the last paragraph Shugo came up. Holding her finger up she finished her book then carefully tucked it away. Beaming from the overflow of the ending of her book she looked up at Shugo.
"No need. I'm done."
Standing up she soothed out her skirt and straightened her shirt. After her clothes were fixed to her satisfaction she looked back to Shugo and laughed quietly.
